VISION QUEST

VISION QUEST is based on the Idea of a period of spiritual seeking, often undertaken as a puberty rite, that typically involves isolation, fasting, and the inducement of a trance state for the purpose of attaining guidance or knowledge from supernatural forces.

One ritual during VISION QUEST is to build a shelter, where you face death. It's not about the "right" dying, but about a transition, concluding with what remained unresolved in life, reconciling yourself with all the people who were important in your life, about forgiveness, even towards yourself, meeting fears and reopening the heart.

This shelter is made on my size for myself. I built it during 3 days of KUNSTMEETING, which is an interdisciplinary Meeting of artists, held in Vienna. It was also shown with INTERNATIONAL TOPSELLERs / HUMAN PRODUCT in Kunsthalle Exnergasse, Vienna.
